over his head for what should have been 4, but turned out to be 5 because
the ball hit aforementioned prick’s bat which he’d left the wrong side
of the boundary. MN was umpiring and signalled 5 with great glee. |

as was Smiler berating John Hollis for bringing along a hapless
fielder (making up the numbers) who’d just let another Smiler
